What to expect
Cuc Phuong is renowned for its rich biodiversity, featuring over 2,000 plant species, 97 mammal species, 300 bird species, and numerous reptiles, amphibians, and insects. Notably, it is home to endangered species such as the Delacour’s langur (Trachypithecus delacouri) and the Owston’s civet (Chrotogale owstoni).
The park also holds archaeological significance, with prehistoric human artifacts dating back 7,000 to 12,000 years discovered in its caves.
Visitors can explore attractions like the Ancient Tree Trail, the Cave of Prehistoric Man, and the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. With its lush tropical forests, limestone karsts, and cultural heritage, Cuc Phuong offers an immersive experience for nature enthusiasts and researchers alike.

Ha Noi – Cuc Phuong National Park
Starting at early morning 5-6am
Our team HIVOOC welcome and pick you up at Noi Bai Airport or Hanoi City in the early morning to go to Cuc Phuong National Park (3 hours by transfer). Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong is well known as the first National Park of Vietnam, it locates in 3 provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa. There are about 2000 species of vascular plants , more than 100 species of mammals , 36 reptilian species, 17 species of amphibians, 2000 species of insects, 11 species of fish, almost 400 species of birds and endemic species. Cuc Phuong National Park is an ideal destination for all who want to explore Wildlife and bird watching in the tropical rainforest. - Birds hide spot: Tonkin Partridge ( Endemic), Blue – rumped Pitta (Near Endemic) , Bar- Bellied Pitta ( Near Endemic), Rufous- throated Fulvetta, White- tailed Robin, Siberian Blue Robin, Rufous – tailed Robin, Buff – breasted Babbler, Japanese Thrush, Orange- headed Thrush, Blue Whistling Thrush, Fujian Nitava, White – Rumped Shama, Puff -Throated Babbler, Red Jungle fowl ( Mele)
- Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and the semi – wild area.
Additional information
Mostly easy walking along tracks, roads, and trails, but there will be a few inclined sections in the mountains.
